Knee roll exercises are a gentle way of increasing the amount of movement available within the lower back. The number of repetitions recommended are 10 rolls both left and right. This can be done up to three or four times a day. If suffering from lower back pain it is advised that when rolling the knee across the body that you do not go past the opposite shoulder; i.e. the left knee goes in line with the right shoulder etc. If this exercise aggravates symptoms of back pain then stop doing this exercise immediately.
